The creative industries make up one of the most dynamic Dutch top sectors covering a wide range of branches such as fashion, architecture, games, media and ICT. During the last couple of years the growing importance of this industry hasn’t gone unnoticed and is visible on both a societal as an academic level.

Not only does the city of Rotterdam prove to be a city full of creative entrepreneurs and initiatives, the city also attracts a  steady influx of national and international students pursuing a variety of careers in the creative industries.

Thus, the Erasmus University is a key stakeholder in this narrative by being home to a vast amount of  (international) researchers and research projects that are related to many branches of the creative industries. The ESHCC Creative Industries website aims to fulfill its part in being a central hub of all this research and gives an overview of the researchers involved, past, future and current research and related events, funding calls and news stories.
